Security: Check Login Pages Carefully

IMPORTANT: When logging into txt-zone, make sure the URL for the login page is http://www.txtzone.com/index.php.

To find the URL, look at the upper part of your browser in the address bar. If you see a URL that is NOT the one listed here, do NOT enter your login information.

Click "log out" which is at the top right of the page. Then click "log in" >check to make sure the URL is the one that we’ve listed here and then login to your account.

If you see any suspicious login pages or are asked to login to your account (even though you are already logged in) report them to our Help Department.

2. Click Sign up link - Sign Up!

*If you cannot sign up for a txt-zone account try the following:

1. Try a different browser
2. Clear cache/cookies
3. X (close) out your browser - then reopen a new browser page and try signing up again.

How can I make Txt-Zone my homepage?

If you are using IE:

1. Under the "Tools" menu, click "Internet Options".
2. Click on the "General" tab.
3. Type "http://www.txt-zone.com" in the text box, then OK.

If you are using Firefox:

1. Under the "Tools" menu, click "Options".
2. Click the "General" tab.
3. Type "http://www.txt-zone.com" in the text box, then OK.

If you are using Firefox or Safari for the Mac:

1. Click on "Firefox" in the top left corner and select "Preferences".
2. If you are not already on the "General" tab, click "General".
3. Type "http://www.txt-zone.com" in the "Location" area.
4. Click the "Enter" button on your keyboard then close the "Preferences" window.

If you are using Netscape 7.0:

Under the "Edit" menu, click "Preferences". Under the "Home page" section, in the "Home page location" text box, type "http://www.txt-zone.com". Click "OK."

My profile is not available

If you are not able to view your profile or if you are seeing a page saying your profile is not available : log in and then log out of your txt-zone account (click the log out link) > then log back into your account > then hold down the "shift" key (on your keyboard) and click the reload (refresh) button on your browser (f5 key on your keyboard) you may have to do this process this a few times (log out > log in > hold down shift key / click refresh).

If that doesn’t work try clearing your browser cache and cookies - in i.e. (internet explorer) click the "tools" pull down menu>click internet options > general tab > click delete files and then delete cookies > ok...then try logging back into www.txt-zone.com Sorry for the hassles.

Who can view my full profile?

Anyone - This is just what it says. Anyone online that comes across your profile will see your entire profile. This means that people that are not registered with txt-zone or logged-in to txt-zone will be able to view your full profile. In order to utilize txt-zone communication features such as messaging, registration or log-in is required.

Why do I need confirmation text?

We need to make sure that the text that will be send to you will be received that is why we validate cellphone number. You will receive a text message and you need to reply the word activate so that we can validate your number.

Try re-entering your cellphone number or using a different cellphone number to receive the confirmation text.

Is there a limit to the size of message that counts as one credit?

Yes, a regular SMS message is up to 140 characters (including spaces and punctuation marks). This is a technical limitation of the GSM standard, determined by the industry. Please note, your messages are pre-pended, by default with your username (max of 12 characters).

I sent SMS to my friends, but I'm not getting an answer. Why not?

Generally, your friends should be able to reply to you. Please note that you are sending your SMS to their mobile phone and there are instances but not to limit to the following why you may not get an answer right away.

• They might not have a signal at the moment.
• They might have their mobile phones off.
• They might not have heard the text because they are currently in a noisy area such as a mall.

How to reply to the text?

To reply to text please follow the format below

• Reply back to the number where you text originated from.
• Format for reply is : example: Juan: Hi, How are you?

Can I text another member from my cellphone directly to his/her cellphone?

Yes.

• You can text another member even without knowing their cellphone number.
• Format is the same as you reply to a member that sent you a message.
  But this time, you must add c<space> in the beginning: example: c Juan: Hello what's ur doin?
• Everyday that you login txt-zone.com, you earn 10 texts via cellphone to cellphone to all providers
  not to exceed 50 texts maximum.
